Summer holidays

Hello
The summer holidays is now over. In the summer holidays, I started to make my website www.melissarose.me.uk. At first I didn't know what to put on it, but then I had an idea to put some of my writing on there (because I really like writing). I hope that you view it and like it, or if you don't please leave some feedback.

Hello.
Today, I had a bit of a lazy morning, and then in the afternoon I went to my friends birthday party. We watched a film called "Click" and then had pizza and cake. It was all very nice. Yeah, so, not much happened today. Anyway, I'm watching "the big band theory" and after that I'm going to watch "how I met your mother". So.
Goodbye!

Wednesday, 23 February 2011

Hello,
Today my brothers friend, his mum and his brother came around. We had lunch with them. We had a very nice orange soup with warm bread followed by my dad's homemade fishcakes (which were delicious) and for dessert: lemon cream with a strawberry on top, inside a pastry case (which my mum made from scratch). Then I went to my friends birthday party and so we went to see a film called Yogi Bear. Then we went to pizza hut and then we came home. At pizza hut, because my friend had booked a table and had told the pizza hut people that it was a birthday celebration, we got balloons with helium inside them. So, when I got home, my brother, mum dad and I all took an inhale of helium and talked (and because it was helium, our voices came out really high due to helium being lighter than air or something like that). My mum and dads voices were OK, I think that mine was quite good, and my brothers was just amazing (I think it was because he is a boy and so a boy talking in a high-pitched voice is funnier than a girl talking in a high-pitched voice)! Oh, and my sister didn't have any helium because at the moment she is at my grandparents house (for her half term holiday). Anyway, that's just about all that happened today.
Goodbye

Half Term

Once again, I am making a rare blog post to my blog. I have decided to get rid of the whole old eighteenth century whatever thing, and I will now just try and make posts about important things. Anyway, right now, I am half-way through half-term. I cannot believe that at midday tomorrow I will be exactly half-way through my first ever year at Ralph Allen. It is a bit of a shock how quickly this whole half-year has gone. Oh, right, half-term. Well, on Friday my brother Ethan and I both had an inset day which was good :D But we did have to spend all morning having our eyes tested and waiting for my dad to get new glasses which wasn't quite so good, but we did get to play in the apple store which was fun. Then we went on a scout PGL (which stands for Peter Gorden Lawrence NOT parents get lost), which is a sort of adventure packed scout camp. I liked it because the place that we were staying in used to be a four star hotel and so, as you can imagine, there was very nice accommodation. Also, as there are three girls in our scout group, and they all went on PGL, us girls didn't have to share a room with any boys. Yes A ROOM not a tent. Well, yeah, that was pretty fun (if you want to find out all the details, visit my brothers blog at: http://ethan-rose.blogspot.com/).
My brother and I came home from PGL on Sunday and then on Monday morning, I got to go to...
PRIMARK!
It was so great because I'd been wanting to go for ages (because I'd never been before) and then when I finally went (after going on the train to Bristol) I was like "WOW!
" because it was so big and there was four floors! So in the end I got:
2 blue tops
a really nice, soft, grey, zip-up hoodie
2 pairs of sun-glasses (thats not a lot, my mum got five pairs)
a pink, sequin beret
a thin, blue, rubber-bandy watch
a pair of pewter, elastically pumps
a pair of black, flip-floppy, sandals with jewels on
a blue and white, stripy, lacey scarf
a blue and white, polka dot purse/bag
some presents for my friends
I think that is just about it.
Anyway, it was really good and I had such a good time.
I haven't done much else this half-term. I tried to get some homework out of the way today and we went swimming. Oh, and of course, my friend Kate came around for a sleepover. Whilst Kate was round we watched Mulan, played on our DS's and played on wii party.
Anyway, that's basically what I have done all off this half-term.
Oh, and I hope that you like the new style of blog design that I have changed to.
Goodbye!

Monday 10Th May
I know what your thinking. Your thinking why does it say Goodbye? Well it's because I know that I haven't been doing this for a year but I am eleven now so I can't do The one year diary of a ten year old girl. Also it's because I rarely write things on the day. Even now I'm writing this on the nineteenth of May not the tenth. It's my birthday today. I got loads of cool stuff like an i-pod, hair-straighteners and lots of great clothes. The Sat's test was really hard. It was a comprehension all about traveling and transporting stuff on the road. When I came home I had a birthday tea and it was delicious.
So for the very last time in this diary
Goodbye!

Today we had this big family thing at my Aunties house. These people came: Me; Mum; Dad; Ethan; Lucy; Oma; Opa; Auntie Sarah; Uncle Jerry; Dave and my Mum's cousin. It was really good. I can't wait until tomorrow for the obvious reason but at the same time I don't want it to be tomorrow because it's Sat's.
Goodbye!

Well today I went swimming and for the Bronzes (my group) we did it the other way round so we did land-training first and then swimming which is the good way round because you have plenty of time to wash your hair and get dry. The annoying thing was that we did sprinting in swimming but we were in the small pool which is the warm pool so we practically boiled! Then when I came home I was really excited because on Monday it's my birthday!
Goodbye!

Today was Freeze Friday but in school we had to do loads of work for next week. I did get an ice-cream though. At Scouts we went to this place and lit fires. Then all the meat eaters cooked sausages and the vegetarians had marshmallows. They were delicious! That's all for today!
Goodbye!

It was Lucy's birthday today so I had to get up really early to make her card. When she woke up she had a presents hunt. Then she opened her presents. She got loads of cool stuff and lots of playmobile. Then we went to school. I had French which was OK. Lucy took sweets to school because it was her birthday but there were none left for me. After school Lucy's friend came round and they played with Lucy's new toys. Then we had a birthday tea and cake. It was a white cake with monsters on it. Then we went to bed.
Goodbye!

Today, instead of going swimming, I went to one of my friends' party. It was at Avon Valley Country Park. At first I didn't go on any of the slides, but by the end of the party I was going down the biggest, indoor death slide (a slide that is vertical/straight down). Overall it was a really fun party and I hope that I can go there again soon.
Goodbye!

Friday 30Th April
Today was a normal day. I brought in money for Freeze-Friday but, because of the rain, it was canceled. After school I did scouts. We did a bit of mini crossbows and I scored 70! Then, after that, we did ready, steady, cook. It's where each patrol is given some ingredients and then they have to cook a main course and a dessert. The ingredients were: a chicken breast, a pepper, a cup of rice, a bar of chocolate, a banana and some digestive biscuits. In our patrol we made pepper stuffed with rice and squares of chicken. Then for pudding we made melted chocolate mushed with crushed digestives and topped with cut up banana. It was nice.
Goodbye!

Today was ensemble but we only got given music. It's this really pretty sad tune. Then after school Lucy went to her swimming lesson and I just did my homework and played on the computer. Then for tea we had jacket potatoes, like we always do on a Thursday, and they were delicious. Then I was going to watch out-numbered but, because it's the election next Thursday, it was canceled.
Goodbye!

Today I had choir. We are doing songs which I really like. I also did recorders but we only got given music. After school Guides was on and we got given sun-flowers. We got two each in case one doesn't grow. I also did some reading of the great book that I told you about.
Goodbye!
